Ken at the Park

Hello and Happy Canada Day!!

Ken had a great day today. He was up in the chair and was wearing his Canada shirt when we all arrived!! he was in a nice calm mood so uncle Carmen thought it would be a good time to shave his head (he has been asking for a hair cut for a while now). Ken showed him what he used and I held the mirror up so he could monitor! after that Ken shaved his face! After he was all shaved up we took him out for a walk. He was out for about an hour and a half!! (He has some sunglasses now, which seem to do the trick). We went down by the water (where he saw some girls in their bathing suits!!) and then up to the park. My mom and aunt Wendy went up ahead and got us some lunch. Ken even had a little bit of chocolate milk!!! He thought this park would be "awesome" to bring his nieces and nephews to the next time they visit.

after his small drink of chocolate milk Ken wrote down that we better get back so he can do his swallowing test with the speech pathologist!! Hopefully tomorrow he will show off everything with her. He is doing such a great job with trying to speak.

by the time we made it back inside the hospital he was ready for bed.

all in all a much better day then the last few!!
